I am a long time Disney fan since I was hooked on Walt Disney World with my first trip in 1987. Since that time I’ve tried experiencing everything I can in the parks, with a total of 30 visits and counting (I’m always planning my next trip) to Walt Disney World—not to mention Disney Cruise Line and even (shhh!) Universal Orlando and Sea World. I’ve turned my Disney obsession into a profession helping others plan their magical vacations as a Dream Vacation Maker at LBAC Travel. I am a work at home mom to three wonderful boys, and each one has been properly indoctrinated with all things Disney. Walt Disney World is definitely our “Laughing Place.” Look for me on Facebook at for updates, discount announcements, tips, tricks and planning advice for your next vacation. Are there any discounts for teachers or first responders? 2. What is the best way to start saving? 3. How much money should I expect to spend? 4. Are the first two weeks of August a good time to visit? What about the second week of June?

Hi! This sounds like a very special vacation indeed! Let me answer your questions in order so I don’t forget anything! 1. Disney’s resorts do not offer these discounts, but you can sometimes get them at the Swan & Dolphin (great location just behind Epcot). A lot of times Disney’s public discounts work out nicely also. 2. If you are ...

We have Park Hopper Tickets with no expiration and want to take advantage of the new deal for Annual Passes for Non-Florida residents. I don’t want to start the clock with the Annual Pass purchase until we arrive, but I want to reserve a FastPass for Soarin’. Can we transfer the FastPass to the Annual Pass when we buy our Annual Pass tickets?

It sounds like you are upgrading your Park Hoppers to an Annual Pass once you arrive, so in that scenario the FastPasses will stay with that ticket and you will not lose the Soarin’ FastPass. As long as you’ve never used any days on the park hoppers you shouldn’t have a problem doing the upgrade at guest services.
